The large field is WUR’s events site. Every summer, the Annual Introduction Days (AID) take place here. One big party that lasts for several days. Hard to imagine now, right? It’s also transformed into a festival site when the University has something to celebrate, such as the opening of the Orion building or the 100th anniversary in 2018.
