✏A valuable skill for any land and water expert is the ability to sketch situations.
Let’s practice! Please take some time to sketch a cross-section of the weir, estimating the dimensions: depth, bottom width, side slope, soil type, vegetation, etc. Also indicate the direction of water flow in the sketch.
If you can, use your measuring tape (or other tools) to take some measurements of the structure and add these to your sketch.
